Session Types and Policies

Lecture Sessions

Our one-hour and two-hour lecture sessions are instructor-led and may include in-depth Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and/or online demonstrations. Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the session. Classroom size may vary. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lecture seats cannot be reserved; however, you will be able to add them to your personal agenda.

Hands-On Workshops

Our two-hour and four-hour hands-on workshops are instructor-led and may include hands-on learning and applicable exercises. Two students share one laptop computer. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the workshop.

Hands-On Workshop Sign-Up

Fully paid, Full Conference SAP TechEd registrants may reserve seats for up to two hands-on workshops. Advance sign-up is required for reserved seating. Workshop seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Hands-on workshop sign up and your personal agenda builder will open the week of August 8.

Please plan to sign up as early as possible to reserve a seat in your desired hands-on workshop(s). Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend.

Hands-On Workshop Seats

Hands-on workshop registrants must claim their reserved seat at the start of the hands-on workshop. We reserve the right to release any unclaimed seat at the start of a workshop. Plan to arrive early to your hands-on workshop.

Full Conference SAP TechEd registrants may also attend any hands-on workshop with open seats remaining at the start of the workshop.

Instructors may allow Full Conference SAP TechEd registrants to audit a hands-on workshop on a first-come, first-served basis. Audit seats allow you to observe a workshop from the back of the room.

Demo Pod Topics

Demo Pods are located on the show floor and feature a different topic every two hours. Stop by any time within the scheduled two hours of a pod topic to speak with a topic expert and get a demo. Space is limited, and we want you to have quality time with a topic expert. So, if a pod is busy when you first arrive just come back a little later within the scheduled time for that topic.

Expert Networking Sessions

In 30-minute face-to-face small group sessions on the showfloor, a wide variety of experts will host open discussions on specific topics, answer questions, or simply spend quality time networking with attendees. Experts include SAP TechEd speakers, SAP Mentors, Demo Jam finalists, SAP executives, and SAP partners, among others.

Please note: expert networking sessions are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Registered attendees may add networking sessions to their personal agendas but will not be guaranteed a seat.

Session Handouts

A week prior to the event, we will email registrants announcing that the presentation handouts for lectures and hands-on workshops are available in Adobe PDF format on the conference website, so you can download them to your laptop, or print them at your discretion. You must be a registered attendee to access the PDFs.

Maximum Session Capacity

Session capacity is strictly limited to the seating capacity of the classroom. We will not permit overcrowded or standing-room-only classrooms.
