BPM104 (Beginner)	The Business Process Enterprise Imperative: Business Process Experts in Action	This session will pull together the role and skills of a Business Process Expert in the context of ecosystem impacts, SAP's direction, and the use of business process modeling tools. This session will be a discussion of what can be done going forward by Business Process Experts, their organizations, and the role of composition tools to achieve process and operational excellence (including leveraging service-oriented architecture). This will be presented in the context of working to help the organization evolve to a "Business Process Enterprise." BPM105 (Beginner)	SAP Solutions for RFID - An Introduction to SAP Auto-ID Enterprise	Increasingly complex supply chains, competitive pressures to reduce costs, and growing regulations require companies to be more innovative in improving processes and maximizing productivity and asset utilization, while providing greater compliance and traceability. As a result, leading organizations are exploring technologies such as auto-identification (Auto-ID) as a way to drive business value in many process areas – and in many industries. SAP solutions for RFID are enterprise-class solutions that support RFID (radio frequency identification), barcodes, and other Auto-ID technologies, as well as serialization. The solutions enable real-world awareness through sensing and responding to the presence and movement of objects in real time. SAP solutions for RFID are enabled by three major components: SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure – Facilitates the capture of serialized data from devices at local sites, and provides the business context to turn the data into meaningful business events. SAP object event repository – Supports applications that require visibility between sites in the enterprise, or between the enterprise and other trading partners, to support a full range of business processes. BPM203 (Intermediate)	RFID-Enabled Kanban With SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 5.1	As of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) 5.1, you can integrate the kanban replenishment procedure in an external system, such as ERP, with RFID technology. By using RFID tags and devices to exactly monitor the movements and establish the status of kanban containers, you can use RFID-enabled kanban to enhance the visibility of your kanban process and to have a better overview of your stock situation.

COMP165 (Beginner)	Exploring Web Dynpro Java: Goals, Concepts, Benefits	In this session you will explore the real goals, concepts, and benefits of the Web Dynpro Java UI framework for building business Web applications. We highlight particular features of Web Dynpro like its client-agnostic user interface concept to run the same application on different client devices, its rich UI element library with in-built AJAX functions, its value help, message, and personalization services, its model-based development environment with maximized code generation, its component model, its integration into the SAP NetWeaver Portal and its model interface to consistently integrate EJBs, Web services, or RFC modules. We illustrate how these functions yield benefits in respect of UI consistency, client device independence, accessibility, reusability, and reduced total costs of development and maintenance. We further clarify the key differentiators of Web Dynpro Java compared to other Web frameworks like JSF and demonstrate its openness to rich client UI technologies like Adobe Flash by using the new Web Dynpro Flash Islands, introduced in SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1. COMP167 (Beginner)	Web Dynpro Java for Beginners	This session is aimed at any developer wishing to get up to speed on Web Dynpro for Java. Web Dynpro is SAP's flagship UI development toolset for the creation of custom business applications and is based on an SAP specific implementation of the Model-View-Controller design pattern. Its design concepts focus on the development and reuse of units of code known as components. In addition, the visual interface presented to the user by a Web Dynpro component has been designed in such a way that all the HTML and JavaScript needed to render the screen are generated for you. This not only accelerates the pace of development, but also allows the developers to focus on the important task of managing the flow of data through the business application without being sidetracked by the technical difficulties of having to implement a particular feature of the UI in four different browser flavors. This four hour hands-on session will take you from zero to hero in your knowledge of Web Dynpro for Java.

A deep dive into one or two composite applications will illustrate and hopefully help you understand the usage of essential patterns and best practices in real world applications. SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment provides a methodology and toolset to efficiently develop and manage composite applications, following SAP's SOA principle. With this new breed of applications, architects are confronted with the challenge to provide technical guidance to developers who are in charge of implementing the composite. SAP is developing a guide explaining in detail how to approach composites from a technical point of view. This session answers questions you will typically have when starting your first composite development project. Typical questions addressed in this session are: What are composites and how do they differ from conventional packaged applications? What does the architecture of a composite look like? Why and when should a composite contain an abstraction layer to gain independence from the customer's IT landscape? Which technology should I use on which layer of a composite and why? The centerpiece of this session will be the discussion of technologies for the various layers of a composite and recommendations answering the question of when to use what and why
COMP207 (Intermediate)	Web Dynpro for ABAP Overview	Web Dynpro is SAP's strategic UI technology; New user interfaces of the SAP Business Suite applications are built with Web Dynpro for ABAP. The session explains the motivation and rationale behind Web Dynpro and gives an introduction into the Web Dynpro programming model on the ABAP side. Next to basic development demonstrations in the system, the session shows how it is used in SAP applications and how it fits into SAP's UI strategy.
COMP208 (Intermediate)	BRFplus for ABAP – The Framework for Business Rules	Learn how to use the BRFplus framework in your applications. This session will introduce you to the technical building blocks as well as the usage scenarios of BRFplus. Find out how you extend BRFplus as well as how to connect external Rules Engines to ABAP applications using BRFplus. We will finish the presentation with an overview of future developments in BRFplus.

To retain this high standard, it's necessary to keep pace with the demand originating from the current technological progress. This lecture will provide you with an overview of the ABAP language and ABAP workbench innovations that come with SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.11. Be prepared to hear about things you might not even have dreamed of, e.g. SAP JCo 3.0, convenient remote debugging, layer-aware and even automated debugging, new performance and ABAP trace tool, boxed components, secondary keys for internal tables, enhanced expression and string handling, locator and stream support for database tables, switch and enhancement framework, and many new workbench features. COMP212 (Intermediate)	Jumpstart Into the Manufacturing 2.0 Framework Using SAP MII	This session will touch upon the use of SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP MII) framework to act as the core connectivity layer for all manufacturing related applications. This will help in achieving the manufacturing 2.0 paradigm and would help to cut across traditional departmental silos and enable manufacturers to achieve higher levels of collaboration across the manufacturing value chain. The session will provide a detailed overview of the various connectors available in SAP MII and also touch upon the consumption of Enterprise Services in SAP MII, and connectivity to SAP LPO, etc.
COMP260 (Intermediate)	Implementing Enterprise Services Based on Java EE 5 Standards With SAP NetWeaver CE	Service-oriented architecture is a paradigm which is here to stay. SAP delivers Enterprise Services to support you in your endeavors to get the most out of your SAP investment. However, in some cases you might want to define your own Enterprise Service using the provided modeling tools in the ESR to create a synchronous interface using global data types. The SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment features all required capabilities to implement your enterprise service with Java EE 5 technologies. This session will briefly introduce the main concepts of service-oriented architecture and the Java EE standard. It will then showcase how to access Enterprise Service definitions from the IDE and how to implement applications according to the Java EE 5 standard. In the hands-on exercise you will develop a standards-based implementation for an Enterprise Service.
COMP261 (Intermediate)	Creating Persistent Business Objects With the SAP Composite Application Framework	One key feature of the SAP Composite Application Framework (SAP CAF) is to maintain the persistence of composite applications. This can be done locally and/or remotely. The component which enables you to realize that is the SAP CAF business object. In this workshop you will learn how to create SAP CAF business objects and how you can expose them via services. Furthermore you will get to know how you can combine multiple external and internal services to create a new composite service mashup.
COMP262 (Intermediate)	Advanced Modeling With SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1.1	In this session, you will create an advanced SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer application using simulated (dummy) service and WD components. In addition you'll learn how to work with the lifecycle management tools and incorporate your application into the SAP NetWeaver Portal using its modeling tools.
COMP265 (Intermediate)	Creating a Real-Life Application with SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe and Web Dynpro for Java	This hands-on session guides you through the steps on creating a Web Dynpro for Java application using SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe. The application will be based on a real-life business scenario of filing travel expenses to the mySAP ERP system. The application you build will cover both online and offline scenarios of form submission.
COMP267 (Intermediate)	ABAP Troubleshooting	In this session, you will learn how to use the new ABAP debugger – with its myriads of new fascinating features like debugger scripting – as well as additional tools like the new ABAP Runtime Analysis or the Memory Inspector. The session also contains numerous live demos and exercises that will boost your ABAP troubleshooting efficiency.
COMP268 (Intermediate)	ABAP and XML	XML is the standard format for all kinds of data exchange. It is the basis for all kinds of advanced services offered by the SAP NetWeaver Application Server as Web services or service-oriented architecture. You, as an ABAP developer, have access to a powerful XML toolset that allows you to deal with XML directly in your application programs: Learn how to use library services for the basic tasks of parsing, rendering, and DOM manipulation. Get acquainted with the built-in XSLT processor that you can use not only for XML-to-XML mapping, but also for complex data transformations from ABAP to XML and vice versa. See how to take advantage of a complementary language created by SAP – Simple Transformations – with superior performance characteristics for mappings of a less complex, linear nature. Learn also how special dictionary domains allow for XML Schema-compliant mapping of Booleans, timestamps, etc. The session will show you how to apply all these features, and when to use what.
COMP270 (Advanced)	Ensuring Linear Scalability on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server	After you have made sure that the database accesses of your programs are of good quality, you analyze whether there is linear scalability on the application layer and no performance hot spots. This includes linear resource consumption of CPU and memory as well as parallel processing mechanisms. The session will provide you with hands-on exercises using the Runtime Analysis (SE30). Additionally, the new possibilities to save memory and CPU with shared objects will be demonstrated.
COMP271 (Intermediate)	Effective Utilization of bgRFC	The bgRFC is a transactional asynchronous RFC communication framework for mass data processing. It is the successor of tRFC and qRFC, and it overcomes the limitations of the latter. It is highly scalable, robust, and provides sophisticated resource management and load balancing mechanisms. It offers several application scenarios for different purposes. In our workshop we discuss the different scenarios and their constraints and options. This will enable you to determine the scenario that matches your requirements. Furthermore, we will introduce bgRFC programming and basic configuration.
COMP272 (Intermediate)	Memory Efficient ABAP Programming	Get behind the scenes of the ABAP data structures! This session shows how large amounts of data can be managed and processed efficiently. It gives insight into how strings of different lengths, internal tables, and boxed components are handled by the ABAP runtime and how much memory they occupy. The tradeoff between runtime and memory consumption is also handled in this session. Moreover, learn how to use shared objects to share data among different ABAP programs and how to avoid redundant memory allocation.

Nevertheless, from the query and DTP perspective the existence of NLS partitions is transparent.
