An SAP Gamification Platform and an Illustration Leveraging a Forecasting Client
Go to Video

David Trastour, SAP, Wilfrid Real, IBM and Patrick Duverger, Antibes City, France

Gamification with mobile predictive analytics. Gamification is about applying principles of gaming to business applications. In this demo, we use it with a range of applications. A special focus is given to a mobile prototype of forecasting application, developed in partnership with the city of Antibes. It allows a decision maker to identify trends of key KPIs, to quickly modify them and to notify these changes to his operational teams. Like in a game, users can be rewarded for instance, based on their mastery of the tool. Gamification is about client applications, but it is also about a game server which allows for employees, customers and partners to share their achievements. We will demonstrate what a person can expect from such a server, what the added value for him is, and of course, why it is fun.

AppOS – Web Dynpro Applications by Design
Go to Video
Oliver Merk and Markus Beck, Deliance

Deliance is going to show you how to save a lot of time and costs in business application developing. The solution can satisfy the customer need by design instead of program it from scratch and reinvent the wheel again and again. Deliance has built an SAP ERP based platform, called AppOS, which keeps those promises. AppOS provides a Web Dynpro application with core functionalities: data management and visualization, collaboration, and document management. It allows SAP ERP customers to easily extend their system by building integrated compliance apps, sales apps, project management apps, etc. – just by a few clicks without being a professional programmer.

First we will demo the fleet management application built using AppOS platform. Later on, we will present how to implement one function of Fleet Management App and we will prove that it is ready to run. AppOS gives SAP customers the answer to the question at the beginning.

Real-Time Condition-based Maintenance Leveraging SAP HANA
Go to Video

Arne Schramm and André Preußner, SAP

Condition-based maintenance means performing maintenance actions only when necessary. This can be done by continuously monitoring the equipment health, which is still a challenge because of the high volume of data that needs to be processed and analyzed in real-time. We show an SAP Research prototype that demonstrates how real-time condition-based maintenance can become reality by leveraging the high performance capabilities of SAP HANA to detect deterioration in the equipment health. This enables engineers to react immediately and avoid machine breakdowns and production of scrap.
