| SESSION TYPES AND POLICIES

Lecture Sessions 
Our one-hour lecture sessions are instructor-led and may include in-depth Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and/or online demonstrations. Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the session. Classroom size may vary. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance sign-up is not required.
Hands-On Workshops 
Our two-hour-and-a-half hands-on workshops are instructor-led and may include hands-on learning and applicable exercises. Two students share one laptop computer. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the workshop.
Hands-On Workshops Sign-Up Policy (applicable only to Hands-on Session registrants)
Only Hands-on Session registrants who have already paid their registration fee may reserve seats for hands-on workshops. Advance sign-up is required for reserved seating. We reserve hands-on workshop seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
The agenda builder and hands-on workshop sign-up are tentatively scheduled to open online in Oct, 2008. We will send all Hands-on Session registrants two advance e-mail alerts announcing the exact opening date and time. They may sign up for one or two hands-on workshops based on the ticket type they choose.
Plan to sign up as early as possible to reserve a seat in your desired hands-on workshop. Many workshops fill to capacity very quickly. Review the prerequisite information published on the conference Website beforehand to be sure you are fully qualified to attend your desired hands-on workshop(s) and have your confirmation number and email address available.
Hands-On Workshop Seats
Hands-on workshop attendees must claim their reserved seat at the start of the hands-on workshop. If you arrive late, you may forfeit your seat to someone waiting. Plan to arrive early to your hands-on workshop.
Although you may only sign up for one hands-on workshop, you are welcome to attend any workshop with open seats remaining at the start of the session.
Session Hand-outs
In an attempt to reduce waste and spare the lives of some trees, SAP TechEd will not print handouts for lecture presentations. We will print handouts for hands-on workshops since the exercises require them. A week prior to the event, the lecture presentation handouts will be available in Adobe PDF format on the conference website, so you can download them to your laptop, or print them at your discretion. You will need your conference registration code and email address to access the PDFs by logging on your account。
Maximum Session Capacity
Session capacity is strictly limited to the seating capacity of the classroom. We will not permit overcrowded or standing-room-only classrooms. No hands-on session auditing is allowed.
Basics
All conference sessions take place at Shanghai International Convention Center. Sessions language will be subject to the speakers we invite (English or Chinese). Language information will be updated on the website. Simultaneous translation will be offered according to the on-site arrangements. All conference and session information is subject to change or cancellation.
