    Session Types & Policies

    Lecture Sessions 1-Hour Lecture 

    Our one-hour lecture sessions are instructor-led and may include in-depth Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and/or online demonstrations. Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the session. Classroom size may vary. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance sign-up is not required.

    Hands-On Workshops 2-Hour Hands-on 

    Our two-hour hands-on workshops are instructor-led and may include hands-on learning and applicable exercises. Two students share one laptop computer. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the workshop.

    Hands-On Workshop Sign-Up

    Registrants who have already paid their registration fee may reserve seats for hands-on workshops. Advance sign-up is required for reserved seating. We reserve hands-on workshop seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Hands-on workshop sign-up is tentatively scheduled to open online in September. We will send all full paid registrants an advance e-mails announcing the exact date and time.

    Once hands-on workshop sign-up opens in September, each fully paid registrant may sign up for a maximum of one workshop. Please plan to sign up as early as possible to reserve a seat in your desired hands-on workshop. (Lecture sessions do not require advance sign-up.) Review the session details published on the conference Web site for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend.

    Hands-On Workshop Seats

    Hands-on workshop registrants must claim their reserved seat at the start of the hands-on workshop. We reserve the right to release any unclaimed seat at the start of a hands-on workshop. Plan to arrive early to your hands-on workshop. Even one minute late may result in forfeiture of your seat.

    Registrants may also attend any hands-on workshop with open seats remaining at the start of the workshop. Often hands-on workshop seats are still available at workshop start time during the conference.

    Hands-On Workshop Auditing

    Attendees are allowed to audit a hands-on workshop. Auditing is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is strictly limited to the seating capacity of the classroom.

    Maximum Session Capacity

    Session capacity is strictly limited to the seating capacity of the classroom. We will not permit overcrowded or standing-room-only classrooms.

    Basics

    All conference sessions take place at the Shanghai International Convention Center. We will conduct sessions in Chinese or English, depending on speakers. Slides in Chinese and English will be provided online. All conference and session information is subject to change or cancellation
